Paper Description

Edit Paper Description Content
This paper builds on the core business knowledge that you have developed in the business fundamentals papers in the BMS(Hons) and is complementary to the discipline specific content in your major/s. The paper focuses on creating awareness of communication relevant to leaders. Leaders need to have awareness of a variety of internal communication functions including teamwork, negotiation, interpersonal communication, dealing with resistance, and constructing an effective culture. They also need to address external communication functions such as dealing with crises, social media management, reputation management, stakeholder engagment, and other public relations elements. Exposure to these various elements will enable you to effectively address them in the working world and be able to recognise effective communication professionals who can perform such functions.
